Thanks for checking in! I’m still really unsure on exactly what a blog is, but with everything that’s been happening personally, it’s been recommended to me I journal. So it seems fitting to introduce myself to blogging by treating entries as journal entries
A few weeks ago, I tried to run my first paid promotion on content on my Instagram. For those who don’t know (If you’re reading this I’d assume you probably would know though) In December 2023, I lost all my meta social media, which had been my main promotion too to market myself as an artist for over a decade. All gone
So I’ve slowly been rebuilding as of the New Year on meta/Instagram. After running my first paid promotion, the Instagram app itself stopped working on all of my devices. So the only way I can now use Instagram, is on a f***ing browser. Which means I can’t share tagged posts, post at all without great struggle for low quality results
It turns out if I change from iphone to Android, the apps will work on a Android device. So, that’s really unappealing and painful, and not something I will do in a hurry. So in the meantime, I’m nurturing my existing clientele and not really able to reach new clientele via social media in the ways I was familiar with. So I’m adapting, and informing
If you’re reading this, and one of the folk or friend who’ve reached out to check on me to see if I’m ok, I am, thank you. I’ll be journalling into this blog as I go for anyone who sincerely wants to check in seeing as a I can’t really post on Social media until I change phones
I’ve excitingly started at a new studio in West End, Old Soul, owned & run by Dan & Kim. I’ll go into more detail on the new location in the future, for now it seems appropriate to add to this so y’all know I’m laying roots now to tattoo in West End at the cosy, welcoming & inclusive studio Old Soul along with the imeasurably talented tattooers who I now am lucky enough to share space with
